Vibration Analysis

Vibration amplitude, frequency and phase analysis that catches bearing, gearbox, cavitation and imbalance faults months before they cause failure.

Overview

How it works

Vibration is the earliest language a rotating machine speaks when something is wrong. Long before a bearing seizes or a gearbox fails, it announces itself through subtle changes in amplitude, frequency and phase — changes a human ear can't hear but a calibrated accelerometer picks up months in advance.

VibroCon runs route-based and on-demand vibration analysis on motors, pumps, fans, gearboxes, conveyors and mill drives, using FFT spectrum analysis to separate normal operating vibration from the tell-tale frequencies of imbalance, misalignment, bearing wear, cavitation, gear defects and structural looseness.

What our vibration analysis covers

  • Bearing fault detection — race, rolling element and cage frequencies
  • Cavitation detection in pumps
  • Gear mesh and gearbox fault analysis
  • Imbalance, misalignment and mechanical looseness diagnosis
  • Structural integrity and foundation assessment
  • FAT baseline measurements and resonance testing
  • ISO 10816 / 20816 vibration compliance verification
When To Call Us

Signs it's time for vibration analysis

Unusual noise, knocking or whining from a motor or gearbox

A pump suspected of cavitating under current operating conditions

Recurrent bearing failures on the same machine

A critical asset with no monitoring history at all

FAQ

Common questions about vibration analysis

How often should vibration analysis be done?

It depends on the criticality of the asset. Critical production equipment is typically monitored monthly, while balance-of-plant equipment can run on a quarterly route. We build the route around your risk, not a fixed template.

Can vibration analysis run while the plant is operating?

Yes — that's the point. Data is collected with the machine running under normal load, with no production downtime required.

What's the difference between vibration analysis and a simple 'vibration check'?

A check tells you a number is high. Full FFT spectrum analysis tells you why — which component, which fault type, and how urgent the repair is.
